The sandy beach at Perranuthnoe on the south coast is just 2.5 miles away and Marazion, home of the iconic St Michael's Mount is within 3 miles. The immediate surroundings are rural and peaceful – you can walk in the owners daffodil strewn meadow or explore footpaths from the doorstep.
There are plenty of beaches to choose from within a short drive, try surfing at Praa Sands or Gwithian or simply mess about in Rock Pools at Perranuthnoe and Marazion.
Foodies will be in heaven with some truly fabulous restaurants on the doorstep. Don’t miss Ben’s Cornish Kitchen in Marazion, The Victoria Inn at Perranuthnoe or venture a few miles further along the coast to Porthleven to Rick Stein. Penzance and St Ives are within 10 and 20 minutes drive respectively and we also recommend heading to Mousehole and Porthcurno for perfect Cornish Coves.
The interior has been carefully refurbished to provide light and bright reverse level accommodation. The first floor is home to a lovely sitting room with vaulted ceiling and wood burning stove plus a cosy kitchen/dining room with bespoke handmade country kitchen with granite worktops.
The two bedrooms are either end of the ground floor, comprising a king and twin room, both with pocket sprung mattresses and a goose down topper in the master bedroom. A super smart bathroom with claw foot bath and separate shower sit between the bedrooms plus there is a further shower room with WC on the first floor.
Just outside the barn on a little private terrace is the cedar clad hot tub; stargazers will experience incredible night skies in this tranquil hideaway. There is a small al-fresco dining area adjacent to the hot tub and guests also have access to the pretty cottage garden and daffodil meadow beyond, along with 7 acres of fields.
